We recognize that access to quality, youth-friendly healthcare is essential for the holistic development and well-being of young people. With this in mind, we have established a comprehensive healthcare model tailored specifically to meet the unique needs of adolescents and youth. These services are designed to be inclusive, confidential, accessible, and non-judgmental, creating a safe space where young people feel empowered to take charge of their health.
We train youth as peer educators, community mobilizers, and health ambassadors, enabling them to participate in door-to door sensitization, school visits, and public awareness campaigns. These outreach efforts address a wide range of issues including sexual and reproductive health, menstrual hygiene, mental health, substance abuse prevention, and sanitation. By engaging their peers and communities, these youth bridge the gap between healthcare services and community members, especially in underserved areas.
We engage young people in climate and health advocacy by equipping them with knowledge, tools, and platforms to champion climate-smart health solutions. Through school and community-based education campaigns, social media engagement, and youth-led outreach activities, we raise awareness about the impact of climate change on health. We also run climate-responsive health clubs in schools, promote sustainable WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) practices, and organize tree planting, clean-up drives, and eco friendly health initiatives to encourage community resilience.
In addition to education and awareness, we empower young leaders through training, mentorship, and participation in policy dialogue platforms. We link them to youth climate forums that provide safe spaces for youth to share their experiences, advocate for green policies, and collaborate on innovative solutions. By building the capacity of young people to understand and act on the intersection between climate and health, we are fostering a generation of informed, active, and resilient youth who are driving positive change in their communities and beyond.
Our changemakers have been actively involved in various forums advocating for inclusive and youth-responsive health policies. These young leaders have participated in national and county-level dialogues, stakeholder meetings, and policy review sessions where they present their perspectives on key health issues affecting their generation. They advocate for improved access to youth-friendly healthcare services, comprehensive sexuality education, mental health support, and better health infrastructure in their communities. Through these forums, youths contribute to shaping policies that are grounded in real-life experiences and address the actual needs of young people on the ground.
To prepare them for meaningful engagement, we equip them with advocacy skills, policy literacy, and public speaking skills. We also provide mentorship and link them with decisionmakers, civil society actors, and government representatives. These forums create opportunities for our youth to present policy briefs, share lived experiences, and propose innovative solutions. By amplifying their voices in policy spaces, we ensure that young people are not only heard but are also directly influencing the decisions that affect their health, rights, and future.
